Do you know of a conservation champion whose efforts and accomplishments deserve recognition? You can nominate them for one of Ontario Nature’s Conservation Awards and celebrate their achievements! Award winners will be recognized at our 92nd Annual Gathering and will be featured in the fall 2023 issue of ON Nature magazine. You can honour the excellence of individuals, groups, government agencies and corporations in nature protection across Ontario.

Youth Summit Participant Wins Community Builders Award
The Simcoe County Environmental Youth Alliance, a youth-led advocacy team of young people who are passionate about the environment, recently won the Young Leader Award at Barrie Today’s Community Builders Awards. The group is dedicated to educating local youth and the broader community about how to do better by the environment, and how their municipality can and is reacting to the climate crisis. One of their members, Cara Lintack, was generously sponsored by Nature Barrie to participate in our 2022 September Youth Summit for Mother Earth. Congratulations Cara! |

Attend Forests Ontario’s Annual Conference
Forests Ontario’s 9th Annual Conference will take place February 16th and 17th at the Nottawasaga Inn, in Alliston. Headlining the roster of expert speakers is Natalie Panek, rocket scientist, adventurer and advocate for women in technology. Panek will be joined by a number of sector leaders who will explore the integral role nature and forests play in our everyday lives. Join in-person or virtually to discuss a greener and healthier future for our communities, our planet and ourselves. |
