Support Housing AND Nature With the Five Ways Home Campaign

Ontario Nature is a member of the Coordinating Committee for the Alliance for a Liveable Ontario (ALO). ALO is an alliance of people and groups from many different sectors seeking to build a liveable Ontario that protects farmland, natural areas and democracy.

As an organizational member of ALO, we have endorsed the Five Ways Home campaign that identifies ways to make homes affordable in Ontario:

  1. Build in the right places
  2. Build a wide variety of housing types
  3. Build smarter and faster
  4. Invest heavily in non-market affordable housing
  5. Make housing affordable and part of liveable communities

We can protect and enhance our natural areas while building better and more affordable communities.

Volunteer Newsletter Feedback Request

As you may know, we have been piloting a volunteer postings newsletter. The goals is to connect potential volunteers with Ontario Nature and Nature Network member group needs.  As the pilot period is wrapping up, we are evaluating how it has been going and whether to continue. Please help us determine the future of this initiative by providing feedback to naturenetwork@ontarionature.org. In the meantime, we encourage member groups to keep submitting volunteer postings.
