Do you know of a conservation champion whose efforts and accomplishments deserve recognition? You can nominate them for one of Ontario Nature’s Conservation Awards and celebrate their achievements! Award winners will be recognized at our 91st Annual Gathering and will be featured in the fall 2022 issue of ON Nature magazine. You can honour the excellence of individuals, groups, government agencies and corporations in nature protection across Ontario. The nomination deadline is March 25th. Ontario Staff and young environmental leaders, along with Plenty Canada, the Indigenous Environmental Institute at Trent University, and Walpole Island Land Trust invite you to learn more about the Youth Circle for Mother Earth project. Meet four inspirational environmentalists who are working with conservation organizations to grow a cross-cultural network of Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth leaders. You’ll hear directly from youth about what they’ve gained from their involvement with the initiative, how they connect with nature and what gives them hope for the future.We’re looking to expand this cross-cultural network of environmental leaders. We recently moved our head office in downtown Toronto to the Centre for Social Innovation building. Although our new office is smaller in size, our number of full-time employees has increased, and we are able to direct more funds to our conservation work. Our phone numbers remain the same but please update your files and send mail to our new address. If you sent mail to our old address on King Street, don’t worry it will be forwarded.
